The community of The Lakes in Maricopa, AZ features just that, Lakes. Currently this subdivision is not fully developed as there are many vacant lots. However, the home builder Meritage is selling as well as other builders. The Lakes does not feature any community pool, there are no schools and as mentioned before, the main feature are lakes so this community offers waterfront lot homes.

The Lakes is located on Smith Enke Rd, between Porter Rd and White & Parker. There are two entrances into the community; the main entrance is off Chase Dr and the street that circles the community is Powers Parkway and another entrance is from the golf community of Rancho El Dorado, on Placone Ln. Adjacent to The Lakes you will find the Maricopa Library, a fire department and the golf community of Rancho El Dorado.

No, there is no community pool in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado.

There are no schools @ The Lakes.

What are the features of The Lakes?

The Lakes features lots of lakes, common areas and a community park that features a baseball field. The Lakes is a newer community and as of 2024, there are still new homes being constructed.

Can you swim in the lakes?

No. No swimming is allowed in the lakes.

What are some of rules regarding lakes?

Here are some rules regarding lakes @ The Lakes in Rancho El Dorado:

The Lake is available for year round use for residents and their guests, subject ot the following guidelines:

1. All children under the age of 16, must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years of age or older when using privately owned boats on the lake.

2. No swimming or wading in allowed in the lake.

3. Do not drink form the lake as it’s filled with reclaimed water. This is a State and County health rule and must be followed.

4. No fishing is allowed.

5. No feeding the fish, ducks, birds or water fowl.

6. No planting of trees within 8 feet from the lake edge.

7. Excessive noise is prohibited.

8. Remote control or motorized toy boats are prohibitied from operation due to the excessive noise they generate.

9. Swimming pool type water crafts, floats, inner tubes, wind sails and catamarans are prohibited.

All boats and watercraft must be registered with the Association prior to floatation. Only the following non-motorized boats and watercraft shall be permitted.

1. Paddleboats

2. Canoes

3. Kayaks

4. Sunfish Sailboats, 14 fet or les with no enclosed cabins

5. Rowboats

6. Aluminium fishing boats, 14 feet or less.

1. Inflatable or motorized boats or rafts.

2. Electric, gasoline or other combustible power watercraft.
