Maricopa Arizona Soil / Sulfate Issues

There have been claims from Maricopa Arizona home owners regarding high levels of sulfate in the soil.  Claims were first filed against home builders in the community of Maricopa Meadows (south of the tracks).  However, when I spoke with  a representative from the law firm working with homeowners on the claims, the representative stated that they had claims in numerous subdivisions throughout Maricopa.

When viewing homes in Maricopa, I am not sure if I am viewing sulfate in the soil or a salt attack from too much water.  Here are links to past articles that discuss the soil in Maricopa Arizona:
