What Is the “Railroad Quiet Zone” and Where Is It in Maricopa Arizona?

The “Railroad Quiet Zone” is an area in Maricopa Arizona in which engineers are NOT required to blow a train horn as a warning as they come to a train-crossing.  However, a horn may be blown if there is a risk of danger.   The quiet zone is located along the railroad between Hartman Rd (around the communities of Sorrento & Tortosa) to Ralston Rd (west of the subdivision of Acacia Crossing).
